Catholic Cares Microgrant Application

The coalition created a microgrant program to encourage creativity and collaboration to fund activities that positively impact vaccine acceptance and equitable distribution by organizations in seven designated areas: Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Colorado, Georgia, and the Mid-Atlantic cities of Baltimore and Washington DC.

Microgrants are available between $10,000-$15,000 per organization. Funding is limited.

1. The grantee warrants taht it is a nonprofit organization aligned with Catholic Social Teaching and the microgrant will be used for the activities outlined in the application.
2. These activities will have a start and end date.
3. The organization will recognize that some of the funds needed for the activity were made possible by Kaiser Permanente through the Catholic Cares Coalition.
4. Funds will be available once awarded and accepted by the responsible person. Funds will be sent by check from the United States Catholic Mission Association, the fiduciary agent for the Catholic Cares Coalition.
5. The awardee will provide a report to the coalition on its activities, its outputs, and the immediate outcomes within 30 days of the completion of the activities.

1. The organization is aligned with Catholic Social Teaching.
2. The organization displays a reasonable assessment of the need.
3. The organization has a clear population it wants to serve.
4. The organization has a clearly described activity and the capacity to successfully implement that activity.
5. The organization provided a reasonable description of the costs and how the funds will be used to support its activities.
